Working-time limits
How Looper warns before someone goes over the weekly or under-18 limits.
Looper adds up paid hours across every store someone works at, and warns on the rota, when you publish, and on the store dashboard when someone is close to or over a limit.
- UK (default): 48 hours a week on average over 17 weeks; for under 18s, 8 hours a day and 40 a week.
- USA: no adult limit, but a warning above 40 hours a week for overtime, plus federal limits for 14 and 15 year olds.
At UK stores, staff aged 18 or over can opt out of the weekly average - record it on Working time (under More). Working time also lists everyone’s hours this week, sorted by who is closest to a limit.
Group head office changes the numbers in Setup, then Working time, picks each store’s rule set in Network setup, and can switch the checks off for a whole brand.
Looper warns; it never stops you offering someone a shift. US states add their own rules - check the numbers with your adviser.
